Wednesday Aug 27, 2025
STRANGER DANGER!! Mulder and Wolfie are joined by returning guest Stan Switek to help kick off their focus on Serial Killer Thrillers from the late 70's - early 80's. First up is William Friedkin's Cruising (1980). With all the subtlety of an anvil, we roll up our sleeves, grease up our arms and dive into the late 70's New York Cruising scene. Enjoy.
The link to the William Friedkin Q&A we mentioned in this episode can be found HERE.
We are now on YouTube! We've been hard at work creating funny highlight videos to help promote the show so please take a look, like, subscribe, etc. You won't be disappointed. Our channel can be found at WTM Studios. As mentioned on this episode we did indeed post a new video just last week called Hogs and Monsters. Here’s the description: “A discussion of allegations made against Toy Story director John Lasseter leads to a much more revealing conversation regarding Harvey Weinstein and his Horrific Hog.” Enjoy.

Wednesday Aug 20, 2025
It's time for Mulder's Birthday Pick, and he selected the rarely-seen Roller Disco gem, Skatetown U.S.A. (1979). Starring Scott Baio, Maureen McCormick, Patrick Swayze (in his film debut), Billy Barty, Flip Wilson, and Cocaine... lots and lots of Cocaine. Back again to help Mulder and Wolfie T break down this gift to cinema is fellow Disco enthusiast Stuart Baulk of the Midnight Movie Cowboys Podcast.
You can find the Midnight Movie Cowboys Podcast most places, but they are hosted right here on Podbean. Their website can be found HERE.

Bonus Episode: Mirrorball Movie Cowboys S1 E3: 54 (1998)
Tuesday Aug 05, 2025
Tuesday Aug 05, 2025
This special bonus episode is something Mulder and Stu (from the incredible Midnight Movie Cowboys podcast) concocted back in 2022. We're both unabashed Disco fans so we decided to start a new series of episodes that focused solely on Disco films and the music in them. We did three episodes and they were only available on the MMC YouTube page, until now. We decided to resurrect the series to talk about more Disco films and I thought that we should make the previous 3 episodes available as well. I have re-edited them a bit to add some music (something that wouldn't really fly on YouTube). This episode covers 54 (1998). We discuss all of the various cuts including the newer Director's Cut. We also discuss the club itself, Studio 54, its creators Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell and of course, the music!
We have already recorded Episodes 1 and 2 of Season 2 in which we discussed Thank God it's Friday (1978) and Roller Boogie (1979) and it will be released after the Season 1 re-release, so in other words, there's plenty of Disco content coming your way so stay tuned. These episodes will also be available on the MMC feed and I believe the original video episodes are still on their YouTube channel as well. Enjoy!

WTM Ep. 342: Superman (2025) with Zolly Becker!
Thursday Jul 17, 2025
Thursday Jul 17, 2025
We were once again joined by Zolly Becker to discuss the newest product offered up to the general public by James Gunn, Superman (2025). The first half of the episode we discuss the new film without spoilers, then Mulder reviews Watermelon Man (1970) to complete the movie challenge. What follows after that is about 45 additional minutes of Superman discussion WITH spoilers. There are a few tangents but we mostly stay on topic or at least topic adjacent and we pack a lot into this episode, or at least Zolly does. Enjoy! Our next episode cover's Mulder's birthday pick, Skatetown U.S.A. (1979). This should give you ample time to buy the blu ray, which is the only available option to watch it! You won't be disappointed.

WTM Ep. 341: River's Edge (1986) w/ Chola and Eric!
Monday Jul 14, 2025
Monday Jul 14, 2025
We're back with Wolfie's Birthday pick, River's Edge (1986). We were joined once again by Josh Hartnett's close personal friend Chola, and her husband Eric. This is one of Chola's favorite films so that contributed to this being another 3+ hour long episode. That, and all the tangents, including Mulder recounting a True Crime murder from his hometown!

Monday Jul 07, 2025
Monday Jul 07, 2025
We finish off our focus on Kevin Costner movies from our youth with the 1989 Baseball/Fantasy/Family Dramedy, Field of Dreams. With us to break it all down is returning guest Mike McGivern. Does the film hold up, or is it a corny, overly-sentimental relic best left in the past? Listen in to find out, and to hear about Baseball... LOTS and lots of baseball talk.

Wednesday May 21, 2025
Wednesday May 21, 2025
Mulder and Wolfie welcome Zolly Becker back on the show to help kick off their focus on Movies From Their Youth with Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). We break it all down... or at least Bryan Adams, and the toy line. Usual targets abound, consisting of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Zolly's review of Sinners (2025), insight into how Zolly uses Twitter, and much more! 1 Costner film down, 2 to go. Next up, Waterworld (1995).

WTM Ep. 337: Top 10 Films of 2024
Wednesday May 14, 2025
Wednesday May 14, 2025
Note: Apologies for some minor audio issues towards the end of the episode. Not a huge problem but definitely noticeable.
We're back with our Top 10 favorite films from 2024. This is a bit of a hybrid/recently seen episode as well because Mulder discusses a movie he watched recently (Wrongfully Accused (1998)) that incensed him to no end and Wolfie completed the Movie Challenge for Jungle Fever (1991). Stay tuned for our next slate of episodes on Movies From Our Youth. This year's theme is Kevin Costner, so we will have episodes on Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), Waterworld (1995) and Field of Dreams (1989). Enjoy
